Evaluation of Lactulose Prescribing Pattern in Outpatient Setting

Aim: This study aims to describe the prescribing pattern of lactulose in outpatient setting a public hospital.
 Methodology: is cross-sectional that was conducted Alkharj city. Prescription data were collected retrospectively from electronic medical records Results: A total 113 patients received hospital. Most them males (66.37%). Approximately 24% aged between 30-39 years and about 20.35% 20-29. for 7 days (70.8%). prescriptions written by Emergency department (84.07%).
 Conclusion: Lactulose uncommon present study. Nevertheless, it important use appropriately increase its efficacy safety. The patient should take as recommended, health care professionals counsel their medications.
